You can also reserve by phone, call 847-517-7737.  Please mention the American Foundry Society (AFS) and the Fatigue Design and Evaluation Committee when making your reservation. The negotiated rate is $71.99 per night, Single/Double bed(s), $10 extra for each additional adult. 

Free Parking. Free Manager's Reception (5:30 - 7:00 pm, where we hope to informally gather). Complimentary Van Shuttle Service from the hotel to AFS, a shuttle is scheduled to leave the hotel at 7:30 am on April 15. 
This block of rooms is reserved until April 1st.

The Quality Inn is located within walking distance of the Streets of Woodfield (http://www.thestreetsofwoodfield.com/) which has a variety of restaurants, shops and a movie theater.

Lunch
If you want to participate in a lunch catered by the host please RSVP to Rebecca Erickson, rebecca@afsinc.org, no later than April 7, 2009. There will be a nominal fee for the lunch and it will accommodate vegetarian preferences. Please note that the lunch break we will be scheduling may not allow enough time for an off site lunch.

Airport: The closest airport to AFS is Chicago O-Hare (ORD). An alternative is Chicago Midway (MDY), in the downtown Chicago area. 

From the Airport
: For taxi service from O'Hare or Midway, call one of the numbers below and arrange a pick-up. Both services offer flat rates from the airports. Do not attempt to just 'hail' a cab at the airport. You will likely be overcharged. It is about a 20 minute cab ride from O'Hare.

Going to AFS from O'Hare Airport: Merge onto I-190E toward Chicago/I-294 Tri-State Tollway, Merge onto I-294 N via Exit 1C toward Milwaukee/I-90 W/Rockford (Portions toll), Merge onto Northwest Tollway/I-90 W toward Rockford (portions toll), Take Arlington Heights Rd. exit, Merge onto S Arlington Heights Rd., Turn left onto W Algonquin Rd/IL-62, Turn slight left onto Golf Rd./IL-58W, Turn right onto N Plum Grove Rd., finally turn right onto N Penny Ln, Arrive at AFS. 
Going to O'Hare Airport from AFS: Go W on Penny Ln, Turn Right onto Plum Grove Rd.; Turn Left onto Commerce Dr.; Turn right onto Roselle Rd.; bear right on ramp to I-90 E (Northwest Toll way); Follow signs to O'Hare.; Exit onto off-ramp to I-190 W; This road will take you directly into the airport terminals. Exit Right onto Bessie Coleman Dr. for rental car return.
